A Parent’s Guide to Little Scholars II
What ages do you accept?
We welcome children from infancy (starting at birth) through preschool and school-age children up to 12 years old.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please note that we are closed on weekends and major holidays.
Do you offer before- and after-school care?
Yes! We provide a dedicated School-Age Program for children ages 5–12 that includes before- and after-school care, homework support, and enrichment activities during the school year.
What is your educational approach?
We use a blended approach that combines traditional early childhood education with play-based learning. Our goal is to nurture the whole child—emotionally, socially, and academically—while providing bilingual exposure to help them become well-rounded “Little Scholars.”
Is your center licensed?
Yes. Little Scholars II is a State of Michigan licensed childcare center. We also proudly participate in the Great Start to Quality initiatives to ensure we maintain the highest standards of care.
What security measures do you have in place?
Safety is our top priority. Our facility features secure entry procedures and controlled access to all classrooms. We strictly enforce an “authorized pick-up only” policy, and our entire staff is trained in health and safety procedures, as well as ongoing supervision, to meet and exceed state licensing rules.
Are meals provided for my child?
Yes, nutritious meals are included as part of our daily routine to ensure your child has the energy they need to learn and play.
Can you accommodate children with food allergies?
Absolutely. We have a specific menu and protocols in place for children with allergies or special dietary needs. Please let us know about your child’s specific requirements during the enrollment process.
Are you a bilingual center?
Yes, “Bilingual” is one of our core values. We provide bilingual exposure within our daily routines to help children develop language skills and cultural awareness from an early age.
